Background

Since 2018, Volunteers in the state of Colorado have created a variety of organizations and communication networks to provide support, guidance, news, and other direct information to families with members who have been formally diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. All their work has been accomplished with the active engagement of the Tourette Association of America (TAA).

The Colorado TAA Executive Committee has endorsed forming a third Colorado Family Support Group, one that will focus on reaching families in what is referred to as the “Western Slope” of Colorado. Our two existing Support Groups are based in two populated areas in the Eastern part of the state: in the Denver Metropolitan area and in the Northern Colorado area.
